Yorkshire and Humber Public Health Network

The course will increase participants’ knowledge of what health literacy is and why it is important. By the end of the course participants will:
• Have an understanding of health literacy
• Understand what low health literacy looks and feels like
• Understand the relevance of health literacy to their role
• Be familiar with tools and techniques they can use in practice
• Be eligible to attend a forthcoming Train the Trainer course.

This course is suitable for anyone working across the health and care field and/or with a responsibility for improving and protecting people’s health and wellbeing.
