Falls Prevention

Falls are not an inevitable result of old age. Falls and fractures in older people are a costly and often preventable health issue.  The Y&H Falls Prevention Network have assembled a range of free falls prevention resources which can be accessed tabs below.

Yorkshire and Humber Falls Awareness Week 2021 runs from 27th September to 3rd October (incorporating International Day of Older Persons on Friday 1st October). This year’s activities will be largely run online – please use the resources below to promote the week on social media and follow using the hashtag #YHFalls2021.

A Physical Activity Clinical Champions training focused on the needs of older adults on 30th September is now sold out, but please contact Timothy Howells if you would like to register interest for future training sessions.
