Creating Connections to tackle Social Isolation and Loneliness

06 November 2019

In autumn 2018 the Government launched the UK’s first Loneliness Strategy, with the ambition for all public services and organisations to maximise opportunities to promote social connections and connect those who are experiencing loneliness across the life-course to the support or services they need.

One year on the Yorkshire and Humber Public Health England (PHE) Centre, in partnership with the Yorkshire and Humber Association of Directors of Public Health (APDH), facilitated a regional conference to look at the journey so far, welcoming contributions from a full range of public sector, academic, charitable and community organisations.
