Healthy Communities: Understanding and evaluating the impact of Community Champion Approaches - 12 December 2024
Community champion schemes form part of a range of community centred approaches that can be used to build healthier communities and address health inequalities. Usually, “Community Champions” are members of the community who work with their peers and a range of organisations to share information and promote health and wellbeing.
This second webinar in our Healthy Communities series was supported by the OHID Healthy Communities network, in partnership with the Public Health Intervention Responsive Studies Team- PHIRST. This webinar:
- Shared the findings and learning from two PHIRST Community Champions Evaluations
- Recognised the value in investing in community centred approaches and ensuring learning from Covid-19 is not lost.
- Focussed on the theme of evaluation.
- Continued to build evidence base and share impact of use of community champion approaches.
We presented two short case study presentations focused on the two different but complementary evaluation approaches and those involved shared their insights and learning.
