This is an exciting opportunity to join North Yorkshire's friendly and dynamic public health team who have well-established relationships with other council departments, the local NHS and the voluntary section. The postholder will be involved in the creation of healthier places to improve the health and wellbeing in North Yorkshire and make healthy choices the easy choice. We are committed to learning across the health and care system and to our own staff development. The post holder is expected to facilitate effective linkages between the public health agenda and strategies related to the wider determinants of health e.g. healthy workplaces, housing, the environment, climate change, community safety and planning.
