Y&H Dual Diagnosis Forum 06-07-22

The term ‘dual diagnosis’ is used in a variety of ways by people working in the health and social care sector – it is often a term that is used to describe co-occurring mental health and alcohol and/or drug use conditions. Research shows that mental health problems are experienced by the majority of drug (70%) and alcohol (86%) users in community substance misuse treatment and that people with co-occurring conditions have a heightened risk of other health problems and early death.

This forum will be of interest to Substance Misuse Services, Mental Health Services, Local Public Health Teams, Local Authorities, Clinical Commissioning Groups, Integrated Care Systems, Regional Police Forces and Voluntary and Community Sector Organisations.
